Ronaldo sees Salah as a threat ahead of Liverpool FC v Real Madrid, claims pundit

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo will see Mohamed Salah as a threat ahead of the Champions League final between Liverpool FC and Real Madrid, according to Martin Keown.

Salah has been one of European football’s top performing players this season and has been earning huge amounts of praise for his strong performances for the Reds this term.

Indeed, Salah has scored a staggering 44 goals in all competitions for Liverpool FC to net him the Premier League golden boot and also win him the PFA player of the year award.

He will be coming up against one of world football’s biggest stars in the form of Ronaldo when the Reds take on Real Madrid in Saturday’s final.

And former Arsenal star Keown feels that Ronaldo will be keen to prove a point against Salah this weekend.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Keown said: “Ronaldo is driven by a desire to prove he is the best player on the planet.

“He will see Salah as a threat and that will motivate him even more to produce on the big occasion.”
Liverpool FC head into the game fresh from having booked their place in the Champions League for next season via a top four finish in the Premier League.

The Reds are still searching for their first piece of silverware under Jurgen Klopp as they look to win European football’s biggest prize and prevent Real Madrid from lifting the Champions League trophy for a third season running.
