NAPS Leadership Meet With OPAY Top Management Staff in Lagos State on the 30th December, 2024.

The Senate President of  National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), Comrade Adeniji Boluwaji Temitope, alongside the NAPS structure Comrade Abdulmumeen Ibrahim, Comrade Olalere Benedict, NAPS Southwest PRO, Director of Media and Publicity met with the Top Management Staff of Opay in Lagos State to discussed the opportunity in the Scholarship platform for Nigerian Students organized by OPAY and how the Polytechnic Students could benefit.

The meeting was made possible due to the timely intervention of the DSS Lagos State Command in response to an official letter written to OPAY.

Comrade Olalere Benedict presented the position of NAPS that Polytechnic Students as always been marginalized in Nigeria; different organizations do focus on University Students than Polytechnic Students and if  everyone will be sincere the Polytechnic graduates are contributing more to the economic development and progress of Nigeria than the university graduates. He made mentioned that Polytechnic community were not happy with OPAY inspite being among the major subscribers to the network.

There is no doubt that OPAY as FINTECH is doing extremely well,Opay Services is efficient and effective, making financial transactions easy but the Polytechnic Students that formed the larger percent of the subscribers have not been considered in the CSR (Students Scholarship). The Proof Fund should also be considered by OPAY and finally submitted a plead to OPAY Management to consider the Polytechnic Students without looking into the HND/BSC Dichotomy in Nigeria.

The Chief Operation Officer (COO) of Opay responded that there is nothing like OPAY supporting HND/Bsc Dichotomy in Nigeria and added that himself is a Polytechnic product which by no means he can be in support. On the part of the Students Scholarship, he said, it was designed by OPAY Management to support Nigerian Students and has been for primary and secondary education category. However, the management magnanimously decided to extend it to the Tertiary Institution in Nigeria while the pilot scheme is to know how this will help the students and selected University were picked at random.

He re-emphasized to NAPS Leadership  that the Scholarship is for Tertiary Institutions not just University alone while assuring that some Polytechnic has been selected for the scheme and in due time those Polytechnic will be communicated. OPAY can not reach the entire Institution in Nigeria but at least all regions will have the effect of this scholarship, and some other OPAY staff present also responded appropriately.

The Head of Risk Management, Head of CSR gave assurance that Polytechnic structure was not marginalized by OPAY but it's awesome and welcoming that NAPS Leadership has spoken up and opened up the communication channel between OPAY and NAPS. OPAY is committed to a financial comfort for all Nigerians and they can assure the NAPS leadership that Polytechnic Students have been considered for the scholarship.

These responses brought smiles to the faces of NAPS leadership in attendance. Comrade Adeniji Boluwaji Temitope the Senate President of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) responded to the submission of OPAY Management by commending and appreciating OPAY for the community service and the easy and  seamless financial transactions for Nigerians and ask for more collaboration between NAPS and OPAY in other programs while Comrade Oyewumi Festus the NAPS PRO Southwest laid more emphasis on the Proof of Fund because some Students use Opay For all their day to day financial transactions and some were affected when they applied for Visa in the recent time and their requested proof of fund can't be fit. Likewise, Comrade Abdulmumeen the National Secretary of NAPS Stakeholders Forum also applauded OPAY and asked for more business opportunities for Polytechnic graduates and undergraduates and acknowledged the excellent performance of their modus operandi than the confectionery Commercial Bank in Nigeria.

10 Primary School Assembly Songs That Were Bangers

1. Wherever you go

If you don’t immediately chant “go go gongo” you are bad vibes. This was one of the best ways to end a very long term, especially if you attended a boarding school. This assembly song deserves special recognition in Nigeria’s hall of fame.

2. Oh my home

Students were wild for singing this song in the morning’s while they marched to their various classes because why were they missing a home they left just a few hours ago? I don’t even blame them. You’d sing war songs too if you were learning 14-16 subjects a day.

3. Today is Friday

“Everybody likes it” and this song did not lie one bit. Nothing gingers students, or anyone really, like the thought of resting during the weekend. This assembly song was such a mood.

4. Kingdom waiting for you

There’s no reason why kids should be joyfully singing about possibly going to heaven or hell but this song made it work. Don’t forget guys, if you do bad they’ll be no more kingdom waiting for you. Shalom.

5. Holiday is coming

“No more morning bells, no more teachers whip, goodbye teachers, goodbye scholars” If teachers weren’t sure that kids hated them and their time at school, they were always reminded by this song on the last day of school. Sometimes, they sang along too. And who can blame them? Kids are scary.

6. H-I-P for the Hip, for the Hipopo

First of all, why was this such a jam? They were using style to teach us how to spell, which is great because how many of us can spell this animal without mumbling this song under our breath?

7.  Now the day is over

Is it even an assembly song if it’s not a hymn? This song had you connecting to your inner spirit and was mostly sung at the end of the school day so you could reflect on all your bad deeds on your way home.

8. The day is bright

The best part of this song was shouting “mama jollof rice” at the end of it. Take us back to times without rent, please.

9. Parents listen to your children

Teachers were rude for teaching this song to kids who would go home and sing the “try to pay our school fees” part to their struggling parents. Like what was the reason?

10. We are h-a-p-p-y

No, we were not. No one would be after singing praise and worship, listening to news read at the assembly ground, reciting both Nigeria’s and the school’s anthem and pledge, listening to the principal and their vice rant for hours and hearing lots of announcements. We took it like champs though and found joy in the marching songs that made us laugh until the school bell announced the first period.

Universities must stop cheating students, and it starts with investing in them - Rebecca Awdry

College understudies take. For quite a long time, scientists from around the field have recommended at the sorts and rate of untrustworthy. Be that as it may, nowadays, and specifically after the plague, there has been creating, and fathomable, stress over deceptive and the damage it postures to the trustworthiness of higher preparation.

There are more open doors for college understudies to manufacture papers because of the reality to the increment of "settlement deceptive," where customized articles and undertakings can be bought on-line.

Organizations that proposition "investigate help" utilize a choice of business undertaking frameworks. They might be hunters who painting themselves as substantial "help" for understudies while the use of tricky promoting procedures.

Interestingly, the Tertiary tutoring top notch and guidelines association has practiced its power to confine instructive cheating sites. The organization boycotted forty sites that had sort of 450,000 month to month visits.

In spite of the way that this is an extraordinary jump forward, it doesn't adapt to the nuanced reasons of understudy cheating. Also, it overlooks the flood in cheating utilizing opportunity procedures. Understudies are significantly more prone to obtain a fake errand from companions, family, or different college understudies than from sites, in accordance with my own examinations.

This isn't generally expected to diminish Teqsa's endeavors, which pass farther than the ones of various partnerships of a tantamount sort in various global areas in forestalling cheating. Be that as it may, the issue goes a lot further than a couple of sites, and any cure need to manage the reason why college understudies cheat.

Better schooling has been establishment in severa approaches that aggravate the trouble, explicitly in Australia. The amount of interest mentors can give researchers has diminished due to deficient resources. Besides, it suggests that educators might have a more troublesome time getting counterfeiting.

Numerous college understudies insight outside strain to procure a degree. A couple of people experience tension at homegrown or at compositions, which will expand their penchant to swindle.

Others are enduring monetarily, which makes them more inclined to utilize sites that commitment "help" with their schoolwork.

We require an extra complete technique to taking care of uprightness than most certainly closing down sites considering the blast in agreement cheating.

Numerous university endeavors to this highlight battle cheating were erratic, interwoven, and asset subordinate. The final product might try and depend on how a decent arrangement cash colleges will put nearer to fixing the issue. Presently, it doesn't create the impression that there's an inclination to clear up the underlying inconveniences that make unscrupulous conceivable, such stretching the time that speakers need to assess understudies' work.

Colleges need to remember switching their distributions over completely to make them extra fascinating for college kids and to assist them with feeling an association with their tutoring.

We want to address the trouble of why untrustworthy isn't continuously being gotten. College understudies who shamelessly concede to rethinking their work seldom guarantee to were busted. This is very with respect to.

It's far reasonable to stagger on. Nonetheless, most colleges have an inclination to depend upon programming or individual guides for recognition, who're once more restricted when dispensed for their stamping commitments. There is no motivator for students to tune from exploitative when there are not many or pointless identification techniques.

What studies (consistently their own) is telling them is that ongoing educational designs are falling behind. Having worked inside the undertaking for nearly many years, I have seen a couple of colossal improvements to battle untrustworthy, however they're generally hampered with the guide of money related limits.

In any case, colleges run the risk of debilitating the uprightness of our whole advanced education framework. Colleges should be coordinated to place cash into this issue.

Respectability wishes to be improved, and it wishes to be ventured forward quick.
