The Atletico Madrid striker pulled Spain level twice after Cristiano Ronaldo put Portugal ahead, and he told reporters afterwards that he felt good throughout the game.

Spain head coach Fernando Hierro gave Costa the nod in his starting line-up ahead of Iago Aspas, Lucas Vazquez and Rodrigo, and the 29-year-old was happy to have repaid the faith shown in him.
