315,000 PVCs not collected in Kwara, says INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unveiled that 315,000 Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) are yet to be gathered in Kwara State since 2015. 

Talking amid a kindness visit to the Correspondents' Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) at the end of the week, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Alhaji Garba Madami, said just 160,000 qualified voters had so far enlisted since the beginning of the voters enrollment. 

The REC said in regards to 1.2 million qualified voters are required to make their choice in Kwara amid the following general races. 

Madami said INEC has mapped out a system to address poor turn out of inhabitants to enlist. 

He said some portion of the procedure was to convey officers to towns and country regions to enlist qualified voters, as against neighborhood government home office where enrollment focuses were at first confined.
