Lagos 3rd Mainland Bridge To Be Closed For Four Days

The administration of Lagos state, southwest Nigeria, has reported that the Third Mainland Bridge will be closed for four days. 

Sina Thorpe, the Deputy Director, Public Affairs, in the Lagos state Ministry Of Works and Infrastructure, said the close down would start from midnight of August 23 to midnight of August 26, 2018. 

He clarified that the transitory conclusion was to permit investigative Maintenance Test to be done on the Bridge. 

On his part, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Ade Akinsanya, said that the choice was taken after due meeting with the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing. 

"The Third Mainland Bridge, which was opened around 30 years back by the then military government, has had random support and repairs in the past which the present Federal Government is resolved to rectify via completing appropriate and consistent upkeep and repairs on it," Akinsanya said. 

To this end, the administration of Lagos has claimed for the participation, support and comprehension all things considered and inhabitants amid this period.
