Sacked DSS Boss Reveals Why He Ordered NASS Invasion

Ex-Director General of SSS, Lawan DauraThe rejected Director General of the Department of State Security Service Lawal Daura did not get endorsement from Acting President Yemi Osinbajo before the intrusion of the National Assembly on Tuesday. Daura was sacked after the attack with reports saying that he acted in view of knowledge that a few people were attempting to carry unsafe weapons and implicating things into the National Assembly. Daura's admission came meanwhile examination report put together by the Inspector General of Police Idris to the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo. "The previous Director-General, Department of State Security Service, Mr Lawal Musa Daura acted singularly without advising the administration," Daily Trust cited the report as saying. "He didn't share or close other security offices on the unlawful tasks." Likewise, the Police said the affirmed insight report by Daura can't be substantiated as the staff conveyed were not EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) specialists or authority in such manner.
