December 31, 2018
Obafemi HamzatThe Deputy governorship applicant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, has claimed that he dismissed a $5million reward from previous President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015. Hamzat, a previous official of works in Lagos state, said this occurred amid the 2015 races when he challenged against occupant Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for the gathering's ticket. The Lagos APC Deputy Governorship competitor who talked at the dispatch of Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat Advocates at Fidimaye Hall, Oko-Oba, Abule-Egba, Lagos, throughout the end of the week, said the gigantic influence was denied in light of the fact that he was considering the future and never needed to discolor his picture. His words: "I challenged with the present Governor, Akinwumi Ambode for the Governorship ticket of the gathering and as we as a whole know how it went, the then President Goodluck Jonathan offered me influence of $5miillion and I declined it. "Some of you here are my observer, I mean some of you that were sent, are here to affirm. I rejected on the grounds that I was considering the future and I would prefer not to ruin my name. Give us a chance to resist the urge to panic, our turn will come. "Our work as Nigerians is straightforward and our crusade will be simple on the grounds that PDP obliterated this nation for a long time. They burned through N1.7trillion on power for a long time and they were not able give the nation only 2,950 megawatts. "Over the most recent three years, I filled in as a Special Adviser Technical to the Minister for Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, we went round the 36 states by street, the restriction party has ruined this nation in light of the fact that since 1999 to 2015, government did not complete any street venture with the exception of the Lagos-Abeokuta street," he included.
