Army Court-martials 14 Soldiers For Kidnapping, Murder

The 6 Division, Nigerian Army court-martialed 14 troopers, comprising of three officers and eleven men, for capturing, murder, endeavored murder and different offenses in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Brief News assembled that the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division, Maj.- Gen. Jamil Sarham, who is additionally the Land Component Commander of Operation Delta Safe, while introducing the General Court Martial, pronounced that the military would not excuse indiscipline.

Leader of the court-military, Brig.- Gen. Bassey Etuk, in his comments, guaranteed that he and six different individuals from the board would do equity and they would not sell out the certainty rested in them.

The court-military board individuals later held a short debut sitting, within the sight of legal counselors and relatives of the charged officers, with Brig.- Gen. Etuk dismissing the sitting till June 24 this year.
