Jealous boyfriend to die by hanging for killing girlfriend in Yobe

A Yobe High Court on Tuesday condemned a candidate, Muhammed Adamu, to death by hanging for killing his better half, Hauwa Muhammad, 24.

Conveying judgment, Justice A. Jauro, held that he discovered him blameworthy of homicide under Section 221 of the Penal Code.

Jauro held that the indictment has demonstrated its case past sensible uncertainty that Hauwa was purposefully murdered by the convict.

The judge ruled, "by excellencies of segment 273 Criminal Procedural Code, when an individual is condemned to death, he be hanged by the neck to death.

"I in this manner sentence you that Muhammed Adamu to kick the bucket by hanging. May God show kindness toward you" , said Jauro.

Addressing newsmen after the judgment, barrier counsel, Mr M. Dauda, said that he would cautiously consider the decision and conceivably document an intrigue.

Additionally addressing newsmen, the convict said:" I have been appealing to God for the best judgment.

"I accept that it is the desire of God for me and I accept this decision is God's decision. I entire heatedly acknowledge it".

On June 5, 2018, the Police in Yobe asserted that Adamu executed his better half, Hauwa, on May 29, 2018, during a squabble.
