Executive of the examination board, Abubakar Saddiq, affirmed this on Friday amid the charging of the gear and disclosing of 20 Toyota Hilux Vans acquired by the organization, in Minna, Niger State.
Saddiq unveiled that they have acquired 8,000 biometric machines, for enlistment of competitors amid the direct of its examinations.
"In the last individuals need to purchase scratch cards so as to enroll for NECO examination. That is out. No more scratch cards. Individuals (will) register on the web and they (will) be given a code and they will proceed to enlist.
"As they register, their biometrics are caught. Each school is on a specific biometric information catching machine. Each datum is caught on that little machine.
"It is outlandish for anyone to mimic an applicant amid our tests in light of the fact that the caught information is on our stage," he said.
NECO's Acting Registrar, Abubakar Gana, said that the gear were acquired to upgrade activities in the zones of coordinations and by and large security of its examination.
As per Gana, NECO had been utilizing scratch cards to enroll more than 51,000 possibility for every one of its examinations in the past which had not empowered the office to control misbehaviors.
Gana noticed that the 8,000 biometrics machine cost the chamber N500million, while the 20 Toyota Hilux swallowed N327,800,000.
"Every one of the vehicles cost N16, 390,000 while a unit of the biometric catch machine was purchased at N62, 500," he said.
This is the first run through NECO would convey biometrics, for the direct of its Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.
