Seven Suspected Cult Members Killed In Lagos

At any rate seven speculated cultists have been murdered in a matchless quality conflict between individuals from the Aiye and Eiye confraternities in the Somolu and Bariga territories of Lagos State.

An onlooker, Gbenga Lawal, described how a speculated clique part, Makinde Abiodun, was butchered while having a beverage with his companions in the Wemimo territory of Ladylak, Bariga.

Lawal stated, "The battle occurred before my home; the person (Makinde) was having a beverage with his companions at a bar around 8 pm on Thursday when the cultists came and began beating him with charms. Seeing this, I took my children and kept running inside and it was later that I heard individuals saying that Makinde had been slaughtered.

"When I turned out, I heard individuals saying that after the cultists had beaten him with charms, they utilized cleavers to cut him in the head and body till he kicked the bucket. We didn't hear any gunfire; they utilized blades on him and when they were done, they fled."

Affirming the episode, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bala Elkana, unveiled that the Otun Baale of Ayetoro, Kola Odunuga, detailed at the Bariga Police Station that a dead body was in the city, including that a nearby examination of the carcass by police officers uncovered that the expired was Makinde Abiodun.

Elkana stated, "On Thursday, June 6, 2019, around 10.15pm, one Chief Kola Odunuga, the Otun Baale of Ayetoro, detailed that the dead body of a young fellow was located by the road corner at No. 31 Ayodele Street, off Wemimo Street.

"A watch group was activated to the scene and the carcass was recuperated. A nearby examination uncovered the character of the perished as a famous cultist, Makinde Abiodun, pseudonym Ma-ke, 30. The body was emptied to the Military Hospital funeral home for after death examination.

"Up until now, our examination uncovered that individuals from two adversary religions were assaulting each other on retribution missions following the murdering of the ring heads.

"We have nine of those faction individuals, who did the killings, in our guardianship and we are following more. Just two individuals were affirmed dead during the conflicts since we were the ones who expelled the cadavers."
