Corps member serving at Leadership newspaper shot during Shi’ites protest

An adolescent Corps part presenting with the Leadership Newspaper in Abuja, was struck by a stray shot on his chest during the Shi'ites and Police conflict in Abuja on Monday July 22nd.

As per the Leadership, Aliyu who works with its Hausa area, was headed home when the bleeding dissent began. A stray shot hit him on the chest. Fortunately he was hurried to the National Hospital Abuja where he is recovering.

Describing how it occurred, Aliyu said

''I was en route home in a taxi after close of work when I got hit by a stray projectile which brushed through my chest.I did not realize that I was shot until I began feeling overwhelming on my chest. At that point I was hurried to the emergency clinic, '' Aliyu told the paper.
