Kidnap boss, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, prominently known as Evans, may find some kind of purpose for existing detainment or capital punishment sentence.
This is on the grounds that previous Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has marked the state hijacking disallowance bill, 2016 into law.
The law recommends life detainment or capital punishment for the offense of abducting and strong blackmail in the state.
It applies to hijackers whose exploited people pass on in their authority, and life detainment for the demonstration of abducting.
The Lagos State House of Assembly passed the bill on January 5.
"This law forces a punishment of life detainment for abducting for recover.
"The law stipulates that, where an unfortunate casualty kicks the bucket over the span of hijacking, the suspect is subject on conviction to death.
"Security is of most extreme significance to our organization, and we are sure that this law will fill in as an obstruction to anyone who may want to take part right now inside the limits of Lagos State.
"Our equity framework will be required to execute this law in total and ensure that any criminal got faces the full rage of the law," Ambode said.
