Around 23 shops and products accepted to worth a large number of Naira were devastated in a fire occurrence yesterday March 17 at Owode advertise in Offa, Kwara State.
The fire apparently began by 1a.m, anyway the appearance of firemen kept the inferno from spreading to different shops and houses in the region.
The Head, Media and Publicity of the Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Hakeem Adekunle who affirmed the episode said it is suspected an electric flash caused the occurrence.
He said;
"If not as a result of the speedy intercession of the Fire Brigade, the catastrophe would have been more noteworthy. Around 23 shops were influenced because of the little deferral in connecting with the Fire Brigade.
"The reason for the inferno was suspected to be an electric flash, despite the fact that the keen group of the state Fire Brigade is as yet taking a shot at that to unwind and learn the real reason or reasons for the discharge episode."
