Policeman commits suicide after killing couple in Imo


A police monitor with the Anambra state Police order, Kenneth Enamika, has purportedly ended it all in the wake of slaughtering a couple, Cajethan and Oluchi Aputanze, in Mgbidi, Oru West Local Government Area of the state.

Affirming the episode, the representative of the state police order, Orlando Ikeokwu, said Enamika in a suicide note said he murdered the couple after Oluchi gathered 150, 000 Naira from him with the guarantee that she would wed him, just for him to find later that she was at that point wedded to Cajethan.

"On March 22, 2020, one Alloy Eze of Ozoara, Mgbidi, Oru West LGA, Imo State, answered to the Oru West Divisional Police Headquarters that he got back just to meet the carcasses of three people behind his home.

"Upon the receipt of the report, work force of the division moved to the scene and met the carcasses of Oluchi Aputanze, Cajethan Aputanze and Inspector Kenneth Enamika, who was joined to the 29 Police Mobile Force, Awka, Anambra State.

"One AK-47 rifle was recouped from the scene just as a note announcing purpose to murder Oluchi and Cajethan Aputanze, and to likewise end it all. In the note, Enamika asserted that Oluchi acquired the whole of N150,000 from him, guaranteeing that she was single and had acknowledged to wed him.

Enamika later found that she was really hitched to Cajethan Aputanze. He likewise asserted that with an end goal to recuperate his cash, Cajethan took steps to murder him through malicious methods. The police say examination concerning the issue has started while the carcasses have been stored in the mortuary.
