Throughout the end of the week, there were reports online that an occupant of Enugu state had shown manifestations of Coronavirus.
The presumed case was promptly isolated by authorities of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC and tried. The outcome turned out the previous evening and it turned out negative.
The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed this in a tweet on Sunday night.
"The research facility consequence of the patient in Enugu suspected to have #COVID19 is NEGATIVE. It is imperative to sit tight for affirmation from NCDC before spreading data via web-based networking media. NCDC will keep on giving updates to people in general," the tweet read.
Up until now, Nigeria has recorded two affirmed instances of the infection with no demise.
The list case, NCDC stated, is clinically steady at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Yaba, Lagos, and an extra example has been gathered for retesting.
The second affirmed case, who was a contact of the list case, was released on Friday in the wake of testing negative twice continuously.
