Cultists Shoot OPC Member Dead, Spares Pregnant Wife In Ogun

Two presumed cultists supposedly shot dead, within the sight of his pregnant spouse, an individual from the Oodua People's Congress in Ogun State, Kolawole Ajomale.

The speculates purportedly shot Ajomale in the head and stomach, recognized as Korede Pariosho and Jide Afolabi, and he kicked the bucket on the spot.

The state's Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said this in an announcement on Wednesday.

Oyeyemi said police captured Pariosho and Afolabi two days after they supposedly dedicated the offense, on Tuesday.

He said the occurrence occurred in Ijebu-Igbo on Sunday in the state's Ijebu-North Local Government Area.

Oyeyemi explained that Ajomale's home, situated at No. 20 Odo Balogun Lane, Oke-Sopein, Ijebu-Igbo was attacked by suspects.

He said the suspects had been captured after an examination began by investigators from the Ijebu-Igbo Divisional Police Station.

The PPRO explained that agents, drove by Ijebu-Igbo, Divisional Police Officer, SP Kazeem Solotan, went to the suspects 'refuge and captured them.

He included that they had recovered the firearm purportedly used to murder the executioner.

Oyeyemi expressed, "Agents of the Ogun State Police Command, on April 7, 2020, captured two individuals from a dangerous faction, who killed one Kolawole Ajomale, an individual from the Oodua People's Congress, on April 5, 2020, in Ijebu-Igbo.

"The gangsters had on April 5, 2020, assaulted their casualty in his home arranged at No. 20 Odo Balogun Street, Oke Sopein, in Ijebu-Igbo, where the expired was shot in the head and stomach within the sight of his pregnant spouse, ensuing whereupon the casualty kicked the bucket on the spot.

"From that point forward, the police have been following right after them before they were at long last caught following meticulous insight and specialized examination.

"On cross examination, the two suspects admitted to executing the expired, yet they professed to have done as such in retribution for the demise of an individual from their clique, whom they claimed was slaughtered by the OPC men in 2017.

"They further admitted to have pledged from that point forward that any individual from the OPC seen would be murdered in vengeance for the passing of their late part."

The PPRO included that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Kenneth Ebrimson, had requested the quick exchange of the suspects to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for tactful examination and indictment.
