No less than eight people on Wednesday kicked the bucket in numerous mishaps including six petroleum tankers and a vehicle at Oloru-Kanbi in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the mishap happened when the tankers, going to the NNPC stop at Oke-Oyi in Ilorin had a head-on crash with three others coming back from the station.
One of the tankers which was stacked with Diesel had a head-on alliance with the other three originating from Jenna likewise in Moro neighborhood government zone of the state.
Affirming the episode to NAN, Alhaji Abdulwaheed lyanda-Yakub, Director Kwara State Fire Service, said 12 individuals kicked the bucket in the numerous mishaps.
Iyanda-Yakub said that a large portion of the dead people were tanker drivers.
As indicated by him, two different casualties were on the threat list and accepting treatment at the emergency unit the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UlTH).
He said the remaining parts of the dead have been stored at the funeral home of the emergency clinic.
Be that as it may, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Kwara, Mr Jonathan Owoade, affirmed to NAN that solitary eight people kicked the bucket in the various mishaps.
Owoade credited the reason for the mishaps to illegitimate surpassing and non-adherence to traffic controls by drivers.
