End SARS: Nigerian Armt says Operation Crocodile Smile not against protesters

On Sunday, the Nigerian Army said its Operation Crocodile Smile drill didn't compromise against SARS dissidents.

The Nigerian Army representative, Musa Sagir, said that, in opposition to implications, the activity was not expected to smother the continuous public dissent.

Sagir uncovered this on Sunday in an announcement he delivered.

He noticed that the Army has been proficient since the "almost fourteen days prior" fight started.

The announcement peruses:

"The consideration of the Nigerian Army (NA) has been attracted to some web-based media stuff illegitimately censuring the Army and its Leadership over the declaration of Exercise CROCODILE SMILE VI especially the Cyber Warfare Component of the Exercise. The current year's Exercise CROCODILE SMILE is planned to initiate from the twentieth of October to the 31st of December 2020 has no relationship with any legal dissent under any pretense at all," the announcement read.

"For the records, Exercise CROCODILE SMILE is a yearly exercise in the NA Calendar/Forecast of Events which generally holds from October to December of every year.

"In this manner, to now suggest that it is an activity intended to smother the progressing ENDSARS fight is most definitely profoundly misled. Exercise CROCODILE SMILE VI has nothing to do with the progressing fight and the NA has never been engaged with the continuous dissent in any structure at all. Up until this point, the military has acted expertly since the common dissent began once again fourteen days back.

"The military thus charges all reputable Nigerians to approach their legal exercises unhindered as the Exercise has nothing to do with ENDSARS fight, however a yearly occasion set out to prepare NA officials and warriors in its endeavors to guaranteeing wellbeing and security of Nigeria and her residents."
