NAPS Leadership Welcomes Polytechnic Students to The New Year

NAPS PRESIDENCY

The Leadership of National Association Of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) welcome you all to the Year 2021, It's going to be a glorious year for everyone of us. The Polytechnic and Technical Education in Nigeria will witness a dramatic turnaround in the year 2021.

The Global President of NAPS, Comrade Olalere Benedict appeal to the entire polytechnic students to keep focus with smart work as we march gloriously into the New Year. I admonish the Polytechnic Students to be dedicated to their studies and research works  - practical, in other to proof the difference between Polytechnic Education and University Education in Nigeria. I always made it clear everywhere, if the purpose of Polytechnic Education is actually followed, there is no room for any disparities between the polytechnic graduate and university graduate. It's of no doubt that the National Policy on Education (N.P.E) clearly spelt out the output of both institutions - practical and theoretical.

The NAPS Global President plead to the Federal Government to give attention to the development and revamping the Polytechnic Education in Nigeria as one  the lasting solution to the Nation technological advancement. Moreso, to serve as an instrument of reducing unemployment in the country - job creator oriented.

NAPS sound a note of warning to the NCDC / FG COVID-19 Task Force to keep away from any COVID-19  Lockdown regulation that might waste away the whole academic year and progress of Nigerian Polytechnic Students.

The Polytechnic Students has being abiding by the COVID-19 rules and guidelines since inception, and no record of contraction by any Polytechnic Students  during and after the pandemic across the country; while the National Association of Polytechnic Students( NAPS) will continue to support the Federal Government in all Positive Policies, NAPS Leadership will not hesitate to stand against any policy that can negate the academic progress and jeopardize the Polytechnic Students destiny across the country.

NAPS Leadership also appeal to ASUP  both National, and Chapters to always protect the interest of Nigerian Polytechnic Students in all their demands. The students need to be properly carried along to some extent in whatever battle the union want to embark on.

NAPS Global President admonished all SUG Presidents across the Polytechnic in Nigeria to be open and transparent in all dealings respect to their office and students welfare.

While we are celebrating the New Year, let's be guided, follow the laid down guidelines by the NCDC and FG COVID 19 Task Force

Let's keep safe and we foster self responsibility.

Happy New Year.

Welcome to the Year 2021.

Aluta Continua......Victoria Ascerta.

Signed:

Comrade Olalere Benedict Adetunji
