Afrobeats singer Ruger has recounted how he donated his first music earnings of N500,000 entirely to the church.
He discussed his financial journey during a recent interview with VJ Adams.
The “Asiwaju” hitmaker recounted how his early payments grew from N500,000 to N1 million and beyond within a year.
“At every point in my career, I felt happy with what I had because it got bigger each time. My first payment was like N500k when I first came out, and I can remember how I gave everything to the church.
” I didn’t use it, and the next payment was like a million, and I was so happy. Buying parfaits and stuff, and more millions came in the space of a year,” he said.
Ruger admitted that money transforms perspectives, countering claims that it doesn’t change people.
