Tijjani Reijnders to Saudi Arabia: here’s 𝐰𝐡𝐲 

Speaking to the Dutch media and NOS, Reijnders clarified why he decided to join Al Qadsiah this summer from Man City 

“When you’re offered that kind of salary… just try saying no”.

“Everyone can take the moral high ground saying I’d never do that… but I’m pretty sure most people would accept it. In fact, most people would probably accept a promotion in their own job. It’s money for generations and you can’t reject that”. 

“I had a great salary at Man City, of course, but we’re talking about kind of money that is almost impossible to turn down”.

“Once my playing career is over, I don’t want to have to work anymore. Of course, I probably wouldn’t have needed to work anymore after my contract at Man City either — but this move allows me to secure the future of my family next generations”.

“I’m not going to lie about that. By signing this contract, I can make sure even my grandchildren are financially secure… so why wouldn’t I do it?”, Reijnders has honestly admitted.
