Obasanjo, Buhari meet at African Union Summit

Previous President Olusegun Obasanjo has thrashed President Muhammadu Buhari over a portion of his approaches which he accepts have isolated Nigerians along religious and local lines. 

Obasanjo made this known in a letter routed to the Chairman of Northern Elders Forum, Prof. Ango Abdullahi. 

The letter was conveyed by previous Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola at a summit of National Elders and Leaders of Nigeria held in Abuja on Wednesday. 

Obasanjo stated: "Nigeria, as of late, has not been so isolated along religious and local lines as at today with unforgivable killings and decimating destitution and with government's wringing hands and obviously bumbling to stem the tide aside from giving one wicked and unsuitable avocation after the other. 

"The conspicuous sign is that the legislature is apparently confounded and must the finish of its tie and the country is by and large left disruptively and dangerously to float. 

"Prior a week ago, I noted in a discourse some unfortunate components being permitted and being acquainted with our popular government by this organization and if these are not ceased, they could be the passing ring of our majority rules system.
