
The work environment of the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, at the State Secretariat, Osogbo, was gutted by fire on Monday.
Punch Newsassembled that the fire started from one of the air circulation and cooling frameworks which was in the governor's office yet the governor was not inside when the fire started.
A source said the fire couldn't be put off instantly in light of the way that the security doors inciting the workplace couldn't be opened.

In any case, the Commissioner for Information, Adelani Baderinwa, and the media partner to the Governor, Sola Fasure, were seen at the scene.
The boss later said in a declaration that the fire was caused by control surge.
He expressed, "The Office of the Governor of the State of Osun burst into flares on Monday evening. The fire event was a direct result of force surge which occurred in one of the air circulation and cooling frameworks inside the work environment.
"It is heartening to observe that not a single report or rigging was wrecked and nobody was hurt. The fire generally affected the work environment of the governor alone; no other office is impacted. It's definitely not a honest to goodness fire scene.
"Tragically that the power suppliers have been always unfit to deal with the supply of ability to meet the basic standard. Various Nigerians have lost their property to control surge and other electrical coming up short."
The Commissioner for Police in Osun State, Fimihan Adeoye, later went to the scene around 7.30pm. He declined to enable gathering to editorialists after he investigated the scene.
