Fayemi defeats PDP’s candidate to emerge winner of Ekiti Election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the consequences of the 2018 Ekiti state governorship decision, which it lost to the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday morning pronounced the APC applicant, Dr Kayode Fayemi, as victor subsequent to surveying 197,459 to beat his opponent, PDP's Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, who got 178,121 votes. 

The consequences of the decision, which was hung on Saturday, July 14, were reported on Sunday morning. 

"That John OluKayode Fayemi of APC having satisfied prerequisites of the law and got the most noteworthy votes is the victor and is returned chosen," Prof. Idowu Olayinka, the Commission's Returning Officer, had announced. 

Be that as it may, the PDP, through its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, denounced the APC, which controls the central government, of taking the order of the Ekiti individuals. 

"The APC won a presidential race in 2015 on the generosity of Nigerians. Three years after, it relies upon firearms, billions of naira, grabbing of voting stations, changing of figures and different demonstrations of discretionary defilement to win a state," he tweeted on Sunday morning.
