Kerber Shocks Serena Williams To Win Wimbledon Title

Angelique Kerber beat Serena Williams 6-3, 6-3 in the ladies' last Saturday, denying the American a record 24th Grand Slam title at Wimbledon.

Williams missed the mark concerning her eighth Wimbledon trophy and an opportunity to tie Margaret Court for the most Grand Slam titles ever.

Kerber and Williams needed to hold up over a hour to play Saturday until after the men's elimination round between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal was finished. The men's elimination round was delayed Friday night on account of the competition's time limit run the show.
