Okorocha Reveals Why Nine APC Governors Met With Buhari

Senator Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, says he drove nine governors of the decision All Progressives Congress (APC) to President Muhammadu Buhari due to the contentions which trailed the gathering's primaries for 2019 races. 

Compact News had announced before that nine APC governors met with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria's capital. 

The gathering came after the national working panel (NWC) of the APC had screened out favored hopefuls of a few governors and furthermore dropped races in a few states, with Zamfara state being the most recent. 

Talking subsequent to meeting President Buhari, Okorocha said the gathering with the President was to discover answers for the emergency trailing the primaries in states. 

His words: "We came to audit the different emergencies describing our primaries particularly the APC with a view to discovering arrangement," he said. 

"We are searching for an exit plan in such manner. We will discover arrangement, our gathering has confidence in equity, value and reasonableness. We are asking for that the best thing be done and let everybody challenge the races." 

Aside from Okorocha the individuals who went to the gathering were Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Sani Bello (Niger), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Tanko Almakura (Nasarawa), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo) and Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun). 

Succinct News reports that the gathering came after the President had on Wednesday night met with Rotimi Akeredolu and Nasir el-Rufai, governors of Ondo and Kaduna states separately, over a similar issue.
