More than 70 impermanent shops at Kasuwar Kurmi ('Yan Gumama) Market in Kano State have been pulverized by flame. 

The Spokesman of the State Fire Service, Alhaji Saidu Mohammed revealed to News Agency of Nigeria in Kano State on Sunday that 70 of the shops were annihilated down totally. 

"we got a trouble call early long periods of (Sunday morning) at 07:35 a.m from one Aliyu Ibrahim that there was fire episode at the market. 

"On getting the data, we rapidly sent a portion of our work force and putting out fires vehicle to the scene of the occurrence at 07: 43 a.m to extinguish the fire so as not to influence different shops," he said. 

The representative said that 70 of the shops were totally wrecked down while seven shops were spared because of the brisk mediation of the fire fighters. 

He prompted dealers at the market and different occupants to be more cautious and halt from utilizing instruments fit for activating flame as a method for guarding against future event amid this dry season. 

Mohammed additionally exhorted the general population to keep fire cans, covers and quenchers that would empower them abridge the fire before approaching the fire benefit. 

Mohammed said the reason for the fire is still under scrutiny.
