Tears Flow In Abuja As Army Buries General Alkali

The remaining parts recently Maj.- Gen. Idris Alkali, who was killed in Jos, Plateau state, were on Saturday let go at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja. 

A group of Nigerian Army on Search and Rescue Operation had on Wednesday, 31 October, found Alkali's body in Guchwet, Shen region of Jos South.

The burial service supplication was driven by the Chief Imam of Abuja National Mosque, Dr Kabir Mohammad, in the midst of tears. 

The main Imam portrayed the circumstance encompassing the end of Alkali as "exceptionally tragic: it is extremely sad that Alkali kicked the bucket along these lines. 

"In any case, we express gratitude toward Allah that his body had been recouped," he said. 

"Despite the fact that it took a long time to follow the whereabouts recently Alkali's carcass, we express gratitude toward Allah, we thank the Federal Government and we thank the armed force for the commitment to discover his body, so he can be covered by Islamic customs." 

Antacid was announced missing on 3 September, after he cleared out Abuja to Bauchi. 

The Army had on 29 September declared the recuperations of his vehicle and belongings from a lake at Dura-Du people group in Jos South. 

It later declared that Alkali was executed and covered in a shallow grave in a zone prominently known as, "A dead zone" situated on the edge of Jos city.
