
Ismail Afeez, an individual from the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) was shot in the head amid a crossfire between gangsters at the All Progressives Congress (APC's) governorship signal off Campaign on Tuesday, eighth January 2019.
Three columnists – The Nation Group Political Editor Emmanuel Oladesu, New Telegraph journalist, Temitope Ogunbanke and Ibile Television cameraman, Abiodun Yusuf, were hit by stray slugs amid the crossfire. The director of NURTW in Oshodi, Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a MC Oluomo, was additionally wounded by punks.
