JAMB confirms closing date for 2019 UTME registration, registers over 1.8 million candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has uncovered that at the very least 1.8 million hopefuls would be enlisted for its 2019 UTME before the finish of the enrollment practice booked for Feb. 21. 

The Board's Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, revealed this in a meeting with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Lagos. 

Then an official announcement of the board labeled 'jambulletin' issued on Sunday said over 1.6 million applicants had enlisted for the examination between Feb. 10 and Feb. 15, across the country, with Lagos recording the most elevated, with 234,259 hopefuls. 

As per the announcement, arrangements for the effective lead of the examination booked to begin couple of weeks from now is in best apparatus. 

Additionally contained in the release is the rehashing of the far-fetched augmentation of the enlistment due date by the board. 

"Hopefuls would start the republishing of their examination warning slips two weeks to the examination date. 

"On the examination slip are hopefuls' timetable for the examination, date, time and focus, just as other important data about the examination. 

"Two weeks to the initiation of the examination, competitors will have their slips put on their profiles. 

"Notwithstanding, in the occasion where competitors couldn't get to their slip, such applicants can visit the board's administration portal,on www.jamb.org.ng to print the slip," the release expressed. 

It said that messages would also be sent to applicants, educating them on when to republish their e-slip. 

As indicated by the announcement, the procedures are altogether mechanized to keep applicants side by side of advancements, similarly as messages will be sent to all competitors educating them on when to print their e-slip. 

The notice cautioned hopefuls against coming into the examination corridors with restricted things, for example, wrist watches, phones and others.
