Presidential Election 2019: INEC Declares Buhari Winner

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reported Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the victor of the 2019 Presidential decision.

Succinct News reports that Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC Chairman made the revelation at the National Collation Center in Abuja at about 4:38 am on Wednesday.

Buhari surveyed 15,191,847 votes to vanquish his fundamental opponent, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 11,262,978 votes. That is a distinction of 3.9 million votes after the official declaration of results from the 36 conditions of the alliance and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

With this advancement, Buhari 76, will serve for an additional four years when his present residency terminates on May 29, 2019.

President Buhari and the Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, are relied upon to get their Certificates of Return at 2 pm today (Wednesday).

That Muhammadu Buhari of the APC, having satisfied the requirement of the law and scored the highest number of votes is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected. ⁠Result
