Police Boss Speaks On Killing Of Officers During Nigeria's 2019 Election

Nigeria's head of police, Mohammed Adamu, has conveyed seven Deputy Inspectors-General of Police in the six geo-political zones of the nation for the March 9 Governorship and State Assembly races.

Representative for the power, ACP Frank Mba, made this known on Wednesday.


He said the acting Inspector-General of Police additionally conveyed 10 Assistant Inspectors-General of Police to the police zonal directions and 277 Commissioners of Police to help the endeavors of the CPs in the 36 State Commands and Nigeria's capital, Abuja.

The police said some Local Government Areas in Plateau, Benue, Imo and Taraba states, would have one Commissioner of Police conveyed in the regions to facilitate security.

"Every one of them is required to work with the Command CP and guarantee that no stone is left unturned towards emplacing sufficient security including the supervision of security faculty sent in every one of the Senatorial Districts under their supervision," he said in an announcement.
