Gunmen attack journalist, abduct wife, three others in Nasarawa

Shooters on Wednesday assaulted Suleiman Abubakar, Chairman of Correspondents' house of prayer of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Nasarawa state and snatched his significant other, Yahanasu Abubakar.

Suleiman told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the occurrence occurred at around 7 p.m. along Gudi-Garaku street in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.

As indicated by Suleiman, the shooters shot at the association transport they were going in from Keffi, where his better half went to enlist at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) introduction camp.


He said the transport pursued into a jettison being shot at while the shooters swooped on them, took his better half, the spouse of a previous state get together part, who they gave a lift just as two other ladies from another vehicle amid the assault.

Then, ASP Samaila Usman, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, said the direction had assembled officers to the territory to inquiry and salvage the kidnapped ladies. (NAN)
