Inec Fixes Date For Supplementary Election In Six States

The Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec), has fixed March 23 for strengthening decisions in six states where races were pronounced uncertain on March 9.

The states incorporate Benue, Sokoto, Plateau, Adamawa, Kano and Bauchi.

Director of the commission's data and voter training board, Festus Okoye, reported this in an announcement on Tuesday.

"The Commission met today, twelfth March 2019 and looked into the direct of the 29 Governorship and 991 State electorate decisions hung on ninth March 2019. On the whole, the Commission pronounced victors in the Governorship races in 22 states," he said.
