Man Claiming To Be Spirit Arrested For duping Victim N380,000

The Katsina State Police Command has captured a 35-year-elderly person, Auwal Musa professing to be a soul for tricking his unfortunate casualty, Zaharadeen Lawal N380,000.

Zaharadeen Lawal held up a grumbling with the police in Katsina as Auwal Musa of the Bachirawa Quarter, Kano, was captured on Saturday.

The charged was asserted to be an individual from a syndicate that had some expertise in hoodwinking guiltless unfortunate casualties, utilizing different questionable strategies.

The representative for the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, who affirmed the advancement on Thursday, said endeavors were on to capture different individuals from the syndicate.

He said the charged had claimed to be a soul and guaranteed him of the syndicate's availability to help him to succeed.

Isah clarified that the charged at first requested N22,000 from the unfortunate casualty to buy call credit for his telephone, after which the syndicate began blackmailing cash from him under one affection or the other.

He included that the charged was captured while going to pick more cash from the person in question.

Isah expressed, "On March 2, 2019, around 6 pm, the order prevailing with regards to capturing an individual from a famous syndicate of fraudsters, who spend significant time in swindling clueless individuals from the general population.

"On February 28, 2019, around 8 pm, the complainant, one Zaharadeen Lawal, matured 25 years, of the Kaita Local Government Area of Katsina State, said he got a call from 08062070061 and the guest recognized himself as a soul and that the guest expressed that he brought so as to remunerate the complainant for benevolence he had appeared to his matured mother about a year prior.

"From that point forward, the guest and his syndicate had misleadingly gathered N380,000 and call credit worth N22,000 from the unfortunate casualty on the appearance of philanthropy that will prepare for his significance and riches.

"Enemy made up for lost time with one Auwal Musa, matured 35 years, of the Bachirawa Quarter, Kano, an individual from the syndicate, when he was captured while attempting to pick some cash, which the syndicate had requested that the complainant store along the Batsari Road, Katsina.
