Man rapes, kills a 7-month pregnant lady in Plateau

A moderately aged man has been captured for supposedly assaulting and murdering a pregnant lady on February 28, 2019, in Gangnim Village, Plateau State.

The suspect, Timrimg Napkur, assaulted the lady, Zainab Abu, who was seven months pregnant, at the bank of a stream she ran with her two little girls to wash garments.

The state chief of police, Isaac Akinmoyede, said Timrimg assaulted the person in question, strangulated and pushed her into the stream to suffocate and she inevitably kicked the bucket.

"The unfortunate casualty's two girls, Aije 7-year old and Khadija 4-year old, got away and announced the wrongdoing to their dad," the police magistrate said. The suspect, in his reaction, said he lamented his activity.
