Ogun Election: INEC Declares APC Candidate Winner Of Ijebu-Ode Constituency

Kemi Oduwole of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Ijebu-Ode State Constituency situate in the Ogun State House of Assembly decisions of March 9.

Succinct News reports that pronouncing the consequences of the race on Sunday in Ijebu-Ode, Dr Oluseye Onabanjo, the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) Returning Officer, said Oduwole fulfilled all necessities of the law.

NAN reports that Oduwole, with 10,180 votes, crushed his nearest opponent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Azeez Ogedengbe, who surveyed 8,152 votes.

Previous House of Assembly Deputy Speaker Tola Banjo of the Allied People's Movement (APM) came third with 4,283 votes.

Oduwole would supplant the officeholder Hon. Ridge Alausa of the PDP.

"Oduwole Kemi Olaitan of the APC having fulfilled the prerequisites of the law and scoring the most noteworthy votes is thus pronounced the victor and returned chose," Onabanjo declared.

The all out number of votes thrown by the electorate from 11 wards in Ijebu-Ode was 27,166, various absolute legitimate votes was 26,006 while 1,160 votes were recorded as void.
