Nigerian guy burns girlfriend’s family house, kills 5 after she ended their relationship in Ondo (photos)

A lovelorn man in Ondo State purportedly set his better half's family ablaze after she finished the relationship.

Deji Adenuga, otherwise called Dakar, on Tuesday caused disorder after he set the group of eight on fire on Adetuwo Street, Igbodigo town, in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.

It was further discovered that five of the unfortunate casualties passed on while three others were getting treatment at the Trauma Center, Ondo town, Ondo State.

Adenuga was supposedly dating a young lady in the family, recognized just as Titi, however she later canceled the relationship.

Unfit to endure the agony, the suspect was affirmed to have set the room where the family lived burning.

A source stated,

"What happened today (Tuesday) was stunning. The man (Adenuga) nearly cleared out a whole family early toward the beginning of today.

"He was furious in light of the fact that the young lady (Titi) he was dating said she was not any more keen on the relationship. So as to manage the young lady, he poured oil in the room where all individuals from her family were dozing and set them on fire.

"He really missed his objective in light of the fact that the young lady was not in the room at the time he set the room on fire.

"Eight individuals from the family were seriously scorched. Five of them have been affirmed dead, while the staying three were hurried to the Trauma Center, Ondo, where they are accepting treatment."

The source noticed that the suspect fled the town after the demonstration, including that his whereabouts were obscure to inhabitants.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr Femi Joseph, affirmed the occurrence, an examination had started.
