Broke boyfriend arraigned for stealing girlfriend’s N296,000 in Abuja

A 30-year-elderly person has been charged at a Dutse Grade 1 Area Court for purportedly taking N296,000 having a place with his sweetheart.

The blamed, distinguished as Endurance Adams, was accused of criminal rupture of trust and robbery on Tuesday, where he argued not blameworthy to the charges.

The investigator, Mr. Forgiving Eromosale, told the court that the issue was accounted for by the litigant's sweetheart, Grace Luka, on Aug. 30, at the Bwari Police Station.

As indicated by Eromosale, the respondent, here and there in December 2017, moved toward the complainant and requested that her be his better half.

He clarified that after the complainant had consented to his solicitation, the litigant tricked her and gathered her Ecobank ATM card and stick number with the appearance that somebody would send cash to him through her record number.

The indictment said that the respondent unscrupulously pulled back the complainant's cash, in the entirety of N296,000, without her assent and changed over the cash to his own utilization.

Eromosale said amid the police examination, the litigant admitted to the wrongdoing.

He said the offenses repudiated Sections 312 and 287 of the Penal Code.

The Presiding Judge, Mr. Suleiman Mohammed, conceded the litigant to safeguard in the total of N100, 000 with two sureties in like entirety.
