Death Snatches FCT High Court Judge, Ashi Away

A Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja, Valentine Ashi, is dead, Concise News reports.

The judge was said to have kicked the bucket at a medical clinic in Abuja on Thursday. He purportedly endured a liver infirmity.

As indicated by a court official, the judge's family educated the court about his demise on Friday.

Called to bar in 1987, Ashi served a speaker at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja grounds, in 2001 until he was selected a judge in FCT on July 15, 2010.

The Cross River-conceived judge had stood out as truly newsworthy in December 2018 when he requested the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security offices to capture Diezani Alison-Madueke, previous pastor of oil assets, inside 72 hours.
