NAFDAC's Director, Veterinary Medicine and Allied Products Directorate, Dr. Bukar Usman, revealed this on Wednesday at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan.
Usman, talking during the dispatch of another herbicide for cassava ranchers, "Life saver", by UPL, Sprinfield Agro and IITA, said that the office had asked agro-sellers to stop the closeout of the item in open markets and grocery stores.
As per him, marksman is an agro-social item intended to be utilized distinctly in the ranches and not for family units.
He asked makers and vendors to coordinate with NAFDAC to clean up the 100ml size of the item which were shoddy and effectively obtained.
He kept up that the order was not an out and out boycott of the item but rather a confinement of its utilization and accessibility to ranches alone, including all agro-synthetic concoctions implied for homesteads ought not be utilized in family units.
"There are suitable items for the control of mosquitoes and other family bothers" he called attention to.
