EFCC arrests 2 brothers and 13 others over internet fraud


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has captured two siblings and 13 others over their supposed contribution in web related misrepresentation.

The captured suspects who are between the ages of 16 and 48 years were recognized as Olanrewaju Olatunji, Femi Olatunji, Abiodun Ojo, Lawal Ahmed, Adedeji Olatunbosun, Adeniyi Ramon, Oladipupo Oluwatobilola, Ayomide Olawale, Elegbede Wale, Victor Adaramoye, Timileyin Adeniran, Kunmi Joshua, Tawfeeq Ibrahim, Funmbi Samuel and Adeyemo Yinka.

They were purportedly captured in an attack did in Alafara territory of Ibadan, Oyo State. Three vehicles, telephones, workstations, global international IDs, Point of Sale (POS) machine and some implicating records were purportedly recouped from the suspects at the purpose of capture.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan zonal office on Thursday, February 13, 2020, captured two kin – Olanrewaju Olatunji (19) and Femi Olatunji (29) and thirteen others for supposed association in web related misrepresentation.

The suspects were captured at Alafara territory of Ibadan, Oyo State, following insight prior got on their supposed criminal operations.

The thirteen others, whose ages extend somewhere in the range of 16 and 48 years, include: Abiodun Ojo, Lawal Ahmed, Adedeji Olatunbosun, Adeniyi Ramon, and Oladipupo Oluwatobilola.

Others are: Ayomide Olawale, Elegbede Wale, Victor Adaramoye, Timileyin Adeniran, Kunmi Joshua, Tawfeeq Ibrahim, Funmbi Samuel and Adeyemo Yinka.

The suspects would be charged to court when examinations are finished up.
