Elisa is just forty when a serious sickness takes her from her significant other and their little girl. Before her heart stops, Elisa figures out how to remain nearby to her: a present for each birthday up to her grown-up age, 18 presents to attempt to go with her kid's development quite a long time after year.
In light of the title alone, one would accept executive Francesco Amato's "18 Presents," a terminal-sickness themed acting about a foolish young lady adapting to the passing of her mom, would put its accentuation on the extraordinary blessings the hero gets every year until adulthood.
Not actually. While this Italian-language weepie blessedly avoids schmaltz and saccharine, it disappointingly neglects to gain by its guaranteed premise. Neither enthusiastic enough to pay legitimate tribute to the genuine story it catches, nor sufficiently hokey to qualify as "so awful, it's acceptable," this is a flabby, bombed endeavor on a basic level pulling strength.
Ultra-composed 40-year-old Elisa (Vittoria Puccini) appears to have everything. A great job running a hiring office. A not too bad estimated house in the Italian rural areas with her consistent sweetheart (Edoardo Leo), who adores her truly.
In addition, she's pregnant with a solid child young lady. Yet, around the same time that a slight issue emerges in her third trimester, she's managed wrecking news that she has an inoperable malignant tumor and won't live to see her girl grow up.
