CONYO CHARGE PRESIDENT BUHARI ON GOOD GOVERNANCE ON DEMOCRACY DAY.

The leadership of Congress of Nigeria Youth CONYO commemorate with Nigerians on 2020 Democracy day, the first of its kind after the Official shifting of Democracy from 29th of May to 12th of June since the beginning of the Forth Republic. This serve as a respect for Will of the People and Unity as a Nation of the General Election in June 12 1993.

"There is no gainsaying that since then Nigerians as been looking forward to Justice, Transparency, accountability and acceptability in our General Election and alas, people at the opinion poll always agree that not such has happened in the elections held since the return of Democracy. Our Assumption as been on side either Justice to one party and Injustice to the other which were always challenged at the Court of Law where some get Justice by retrieving their mandate back while others could not" Amb. Mumeen Ibraheem Stated.

The National Chairman of Congress of Nigeria Youth reaffirm the basis for Youth participation in Politics as an age group with the most energy, Ideology, respect for human rights and activist special calibar to drive the affairs of the Country but were on the other hand subdued by the Older, Lavish, Desperate generations who refuse the leave the sword of leadership to the common child hidding under the pretence of inexperience Our Youths are.

Nevertheless, freedom are not cheaply and freely given, it must be fight for and that's one of  the  concepts of Democracy we are celebrating today.

CONYO commend President Mohammadu BUHARI for this Sportsmanship and zeal towards the development of this country but not too happy most especially in the areas of security that has cost the lifes of innocent Citizens in the country, Nigerian Youths believes that as a custodian of Power and Authority, Mr. President should have find a better alternatives and all apparatus in check to enable the Safety of the Citizens which is the Prime Subject of every Government.

CONYO urge the Federal Government of Nigeria to shift up the gear in ensuring implementation of strategic Plans on Security to reduce the high rate of Armed Robbery, Rape, Kidnapping, Terrorism to the bearest minimal.

Amb. Mumeen also Advise the Federal Government on reviving the Economy of this Country to avoid another costly recession in the Pandemic era and lifting of vulnerables Nigerians out of Abject Poverty through genuine means.

Lastly, CONYO urge the FG led by President Muhammadu BUHARI to be focus on strengthening all levels and arms of Government through State Legislative/Judicial Autonomy and Local Government Autonomy to enable People at the Grassroots receive and enjoy dividends of Democracy.

As We wish the Entire Country HAPPY 21ST ANNIVERSARY Of uninterrupted Democracy we pray for more UNITY and LOVE in our country NIGERIA.
