NAPS Felicitate with Nigerians and Polytechnic Students on Democracy Day

DEMOCRACY DAY MESSAGE

I wish to Felicitate with the President and Commander -in -Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Gen.Mohammadu Buhari, Polytechnic Students across the Nation and all Nigerians on the Occasion of Democracy Day Celebration in Nigeria.

During the Last twenty one years of Democratic experiment in Nigeria, there have been Comparative Improvements in some sectors of the economy, but the improvements are far less than the expectations of Nigerians. The Majority of Nigerians are wallowing in abject poverty.

There is a high rate of graduate's Unemployment, there is a high degree of insecurity in Nigeria! Killings ,kidnapping, bombing, armed robbery, Rapping and others.

Government need to push more into Polytechnic and Technical Education, in other to have good Technology Platform which can serve as Job Creation and Combat Insecurity as well, we should remember that no Nation can grow beyond her Technology Development, Technology is the Bedrock of the Nation, National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has developed series of Programme and Partnership with Different Organization to improve on Polytechnic and Technical Education and as a body that represent over 20.1 Million Polytechnic Students, we are ready to partner with the Federal Government to Find Lasting Solution to Unemployment in Nigeria and to reduce Crime rate in Nigeria, as we all know that Crime can't be totally eradicated , it can only be reduce in the Society.

There is need for Government to pay adequate attention to this issue of Insecurity and Unemployment.

All Nigerians should  rise to the Challenge of Contributing to the Sustenance of Democracy in Nigeria.  The Government at Federal , State, and Local Level should work hard to overcome the shortcomings of Democratic rule, so that the Labour of our Democracy Martyrs like Chief M.K.O Abiola should not be in Vain.
