MR. TOBI MAJOYEGBE SPEARHEADED THE 2022 EDITION OF LOCUS FOUNDATION'S PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES FOR INDIGENT STUDENTS IN ABUJA.



One of the world’s greatest poet, and civil rights activist, Maya Angelou once said “I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver". When she handed down the above words of wisdom, those he had in mind were certainly the likes of Ms Loveth Okocha a trustee and Mr. Tobi Majoyegbe; co-trustee of LOCUS foundation in that, they; Ms. Loveth Okocha and Mr. Tobi Majoyegbe are highly resourceful unassuming people, and dynamic altruists who set up the foundation to put smile on the faces of students to which the students of  Government Secondary School, Gui in Abuja Municipal Area Council, FCT-Abuja became beneficiaries of it's 2022 first edition. 


Mr. Tobi Majoyegbe who spearheaded this edition held on 31st March, 2022 is a man of transparent honesty, an indefatigable achiever, a man of enviable character, a lover of truth and a strategic planner.  Through his nimble wit, he coordinated, mobilized for fund from all and sundry and ultimately actualized the reaching out of the foundation to some selected students who can't afford to pay their school fees in GSS Gui, Abuja after consultation with the school principal.  


The event, which took place at the school premises witnessed a cacophony of joyful sounds from the students as well as the parents of the beneficiaries. Mr. Tobi Majoyegbe before presenting the scholarship fund to the students encouraged them to study hard and come out in flying colors thereby, making the foundation and their families proud. 


To Mr. Tobi Majoyegbe; the chief host of the event, paying school fees of indigent students was part of transforming education and borne out of the determination and commitment to develop young minds towards a better Nigeria.


Mr. Majoyegbe who was with the company of colleagues; Emmanuel Babatunde, Umar Geidam, John Olaitan and others while doing the presentation, emphasized the need for the nation to invest in the education, health and empowerment of young people so that they can have the opportunity to realize their ambitions as the future of the nation. He also said that, the outreach is not the first of its kind as the Chairperson of the foundation under the leadership of Ms Loveth out of her generosity, magnanimity and collaboration with like-minded people has touched the lives of many students in several similar outreach that focused primarily on indigent students in schools. 


The LOCUS Foundation was established specifically to encourage out-of-school children to enroll in school while the foundation covers their tuition fees and to provide a warm embrace of connecting 'ONE CHILD TO ONE SPONSOR' for the underprivileged youngsters.


In his closing remarks, Tobi Majoyegbe thanked his team and the generous donors that made the project a reality. He also, said that, in order to assist some of our young people in returning to school, he urged other stakeholders to take up the challenge.
