Finally, Court Fixes Date To Hear Suit Seeking Biafra Republic

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria's capital, has settled February 25, 2019, for the knowing about a suit looking for the actualisation of a sovereign province of Biafra. 

The suit initially started in the Owerri division of the court before it was exchanged to Abuja at the example of the Federal Government. 

The suit was recorded by the Incorporated Trustees of Bilie Human Rights Initiative, speaking to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) against the Federal Government of Nigeria and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF). 

In particular, the offended party needs an actualisation of the sovereign province of Biafra through legitimate means. 

Nonetheless, in its counter sworn statement to the starter protest documented by the Federal Government, the offended party contended: "If Biafra is cut out of the present Nigeria today as a sovereign and autonomous country, Nigeria has nothing to lose as it will at present stay incredible and the monster of Africa. 

"It would have bottomless harmony, advance, solidarity, solid economy, political, religious and social amicability that will be without examination inside the African sub-district and past." 

Blameless Amadi, President of Billie Human Rights Initiative, who ousted to the 13-passage counter oath, affirmed that "with the end goal to end the present suit definitely, the Federal Government took undue preferred standpoint of the fracture with Nnamdi Kanu's group of IPOB in filling an ex-parte application at the Federal High Court, Abuja. 

The Billie Human Rights Initiative said Federal Government had utilized the court, managed by the then Acting Chief Judge, Justice Abdul Karafati, to "awfully secure an ex-parte request to slaughter forever our battle for self-assurance and our certifiable and legitimate endeavors to actualise the sovereign State of Biafra through lawful means." 

Equity Babatunde Quadri, who managed the issue, settled February 25, 2019, for the becoming aware of the suit. 

The IPOB, driven by Kanu, is looking for withdrawal from Nigeria. The gathering has since been prohibited by the Nigerian Government.
