Serap Hails Buhari For Reducing Fees For Jamb, Neco, Others

Financial Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has lauded the organization of President Muhammadu Buhari for diminishing examination charges for Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Neco. 

The Minister of Education, Adamu had declared the decrease of the expenses after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday. 

Adamu said the JAMB expense for the UTME will diminish from N5,000 to N3,500, the Senior Secondary School charge by NECO will lessen from N11,350 to N9,850 and the Basic Education authentication by NECO will decrease from N5,500 to N4,000. 

Responding in a post on Twitter, Serap asked all state governors to execute such choice and diminish the expense of training in separate states. 

The gathering stated: "The decrease of examination expenses for JAMB,NECO is an appreciated improvement. 

"We ask all state governors to direly cut the expense of training in their states and enhance access to quality instruction for youngsters from a poor and burdened foundation."
