
Brief News reports that the Returning Officer, Dr Bolajoko Dixon-Ogbechi from the University of Lagos, made the revelation on Sunday, at the Surulere Local Government Collation Center in Lagos.
She says Elliot developed victor with 15,357 votes, while Benjamin Olasunkanmi, hopeful of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came next with 3,628 votes.
"That Desmond Olusola Elliot of APC, having fulfilled the necessities of the law and scored the most noteworthy number of votes, is therefore announced champ and is returned chosen."
As per her, Shitta-Bey Oluwarotimi of Alliance for Democracy (AD) came third with 116 votes; Dawodu Oluwaseyi of Accord Party came fourth with 65 cast a ballot while Makanjuola Olaseni of Youth Party (YP) came fifth with 59 cast a ballot.
Dixon-Ogbechi says the complete number of enlisted voters in the voting demographic is 134939, certify voters put at 20340.
Legitimate votes – 19357 while the absolute number of rejected votes was 973.
"The absolute number of votes cast is 20330 while the consequences of six units at Igbaja/Stadium with RA number 06 were dropped due to over casting a ballot.
"In this way, the complete number of votes dropped in the influenced territories were 4091," she states.
With the triumph, this will be Desmond Elliot's second term in office.
